A mycosis* of the skin and nails commonly referred to as onychomycosis (on-ih-ko-my-ko-sis). Onychomycosis, ringworm, psoriasis, athlete's foot, and jock itch are all a mycosis, and are caused by dermatophytes as (Epidermophyton floccosum, several genus of Trichophyton as, T. rubrum and T. mentagrophytes), a yeast-like imperfect fungi: i.e. non-dermatophytes as (Candida albicans), or bacteria, molds, and other infectious microbes.
You can see the results of having been infected. Your nails will exhibit one or more of the following characteristics: Opaqueness (cloudy white), thickening, brittleness, flakiness, easily crumbled, discolored - a black-yellowish-brown, foul-smelling, and hard to trim, You may even experience a pain in the toes from time to time. This fungal disease invades the nails(toes and fingers) of an estimated 18%-21% of our population of the United States after the age of 40.
The Beginning - Foxiefeet The Ultimate Relief
Today there are many creams and salves available on the market which effectively treats the tinea fungi, i.e. ringworm, psoriasis, athlete's foot and jock itch, however, tinea unguium (onychomycosis) has a history of ineffective results when topically treated with these same preparations.
The thick and/or hardened nature of the nails which are fungus infected, is a contributing factor to these ineffective results of penetration.
Upon reading considerable materials that are available from many who are learned in the art of fungal nail care, we found that formulations for many of the available topically applied compositions are flawed. the "flawed" formulations usually contain only one antifungal agent and very little, if any agent for help in the penetration of the nail bed.
Additionally, many of the prior arts were known to cause hand and skin irritations because of their chemical structure. Many, if not most, of the prior art causes dryness of the skin, rashes, allergies, peeling, and so on, due to use of acids, alcohols, solvents and other adjuvants incorporated into their respective compositions.
The inventor of Foxiefeet, over a fifty-seven year period, had ten toenails that were totally covered with the yellowish-brown mycosis and was getting no relief from the many topical compositions available. The inventor of Foxiefeet refused to consider the oral drugs available, because of the many side effects discussed in small type on the package or in the advertising. Equally undesirable was the surgical avulsion of the nail(s) which leaves a scarred look for life.
Over the years, the inventor of Foxiefeet was studying and working with various ingredients and agents he thought might be the answer. all these tests were to no avail and the fungus infected nails continued.
Then one day in 1998, the inventor of Foxiefeet discovered a publication written by a man named **Sorenson. His observations follow:
"the medicament component of the nail-permeable medication means may contain any type of drug or medicament, which is necessary and effective at modifying, controlling or curing a disease condition of the nail and the surrounding area. such medicaments may include anti-bacterial compositions, antimycotic or antifungal compositions, antiviral compositions, or any other suitable medicament. this supports previous studies that suggest topical antifungal agents alone have minimal effect on either clinical or mycologic cure of onychomycosis."
In examining the ingredients of the available compositions on the market today, one can easily make the same observations as Sorenson. Most compositions have one or two antifungal agents and nothing else of importance. Perhaps these one or two agents are not inimical to the strain of fungus being treated. Perhaps permeation of the nail and of the nail bed is troublesome due to inadequate penetration facilitators.
Sorenson further wrote:
"There should be more attention given to the addition of antibacterial, antimycotic, antiviral compositions or any other medicament necessary to modify, control, or cure a disease condition."
Sorenson could be right. With re-directions of energies, Foxiefeet became a reality with the use of herbals rather than chemicals as others have and are using. After a considerable number of changes in the formula and years of testing, the ten toenails which were infected for fifty-seven years became clear and pink in color. A working formula had been realized.
